The Amish are a gruop of Christians who mostly live in Pennsylvania but also live in other states. Because of their faith they don't participate in "worldly" things. Many don't use electricity, or cars, and dress in very plain clothing...basically they live like it's the 1800s. They don't have Social Security and don't participate in the military or the government. They believe in being separate from what they call "English" culture, which is our mainstream American culture

Britt, I'm just wondering here, but how can you be ex-Amish? As in, you were once Amish and now you aren't? I have a confusion.
Aaaand it's weird that we're both Native American and German. And we have EDS. We could be related o.O

Haha, Brooke, my dad's side of the family, where the Amish stems from was excommunicated from the group due to not wanting to follow their ways of life! So now, we are ex-amish!

And we probably are related somehow ahhaha!

Wow this is from a long time ago. :P

I'm also from Tulsa, Oklahoma and Brooke and I actually go to the same school, which is awesome.

I've always wanted to visit Tulsa! No specific reasoning, but I've heard it is quite neat!

Wow I'm late on responding to this.

I was born and raised, and still living in Southeastern Michigan! I'm of Bulgarian, Hungarian, and either German or French decent (don't ask me why I don't know which it is, it's a long story).

I ended up marrying an Englishman, Stephen. He came here on his fifth visit to visit me and we ended up deciding we didn't want to say good bye again. I actually met Stephen the same place I met Timeless on. Stephen is from the West Midlands in England. =] We're currently both living in Southeastern Michigan. Stephen just got his Work Permit, and if all goes well, he'll also have his Greencard soon too. =]
