Hello Hello

I'm new here at EDSKids even though I'm an adult technically... lol. I am diagnosed with EDS Hypermobility Type but have many crossovers into Classical and Vascular. I am going to be 27 this august even though I look about 14 most of the time. I just got my service dog Shadow recently and it's amazing the help he's given me.... as well as some sense of purpose. I don't work anymore, or drive, so I am usually stuck at home for a big portion of the day. Shadow gives me a structure and schedule, as well as some company. Soon I will have my powerchair. My mom's boyfriend is going to paint it pink for me and airbrush a penguin on it!!! I'm hoping it will give me more independence...

I also am working towards being an advocate for those with chronic or disabling conditions. I have started my own website and youtube channel.

I am really glad to have been invited here, and hope I can give as much as I can to the group.

Hugs

i thought you knew that??? Yes, I have a brother and a sister. I also have two other brothers that are estranged, they are my father's boys. Both have kids, so that technically make me an auntie, but they have never bothered to contact me...

My brother was suspected of having Marfan's Syndrome as a child. He has a heart murmur, pectus excavatum, and low muscle tone as a baby. The geneticist ruled it out though.
