Welcome To EDS-Kids
EDS Kids is a support group and community dedicated to helping children and young adult who suffer from chronic pain resulting from illnesses and genetic conditions like Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and Fibromyalgia. Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS for short) is a genetic connective tissue disorder which primarily causes chronic joint pain and joint dislocations. EDS Kids is a community dedicated to helping not only sufferers of EDS but their family and friends too.

announcement Flashing, sparkly, fast moving objects - NEW RULE
Hi Everyone,

This hasn't been a problem yet here on EDSkids but here goes the new rule.

As you may or not not know, Dysautonomia patients as well as other health conditions such as neuropathy have a great sensitivity to flashing lights etc. Flashing lights can cause seizures and make other health conditions "flare up" - or to become worse. They can also cause headaches, eye aches etc....

From here on, EDSkids will not allow flashing lights, sparkly, and fast moving objects from their signatures/avatars. This way everyone who has eye issues or are prone to seizures on this site feel safe and comfortable coming here for support and advice.


We're all friends here and are supportive of one another so this shouldn't be a problem!

This rule is pretty important...I have visual problems as well as Dysautonomia and flashing lights trigger migraines and not such fun things for me...
