Eye Pain

I can cope with the aching i get after revising too long but this new pain is too much. It comes on suddenly and feels like my eye is about to burst, like there is a build up of pressure

Ive been to the opticians and had every test including dry eyes and pressure and shes given me glasses for reading but they make me feel sick. Ive also had a thyroid and diabetes test but im just waiting for the results.

I have also been getting really bad miganes and i think it may be due to my eyes. Has anyone else experienced this kind of problem and have any ideas on how to reduce the pain?

Hugs and Spoons

I really have no idea. I was born with a short eye muscle and couldn't even look up with my left eye until I was 14. To this day I still get a lot of pain and pressure when I strain it. I find that a cold or hot compress helps the pain.

I was going to suggest something cold to try and ease it. I've had something like that a couple of times.
I've had a small blood vessel burst in the side of my eye which wasn't that painful tbh and you could only see it if I looked to the side.
I've had my eyes tested and they're fine...I had the photos too - the ones of the backs of your eyes and my optician showed me and all the blood vessels were fine, he said my eyes were symetrical and the more symetrical they are the better - like behind your pupils.
I know what you mean though, the pain I've had felt like my eyeball was swollen and quite painful but I've only had it once or twice

Sorry i havent been on here for a while. Ive been back to the doctors and they still cant work out what it is. The pain isnt as bad now but Ive booked an opticians appointment because in the sunny weather even with sunglasses on my eyes are really sensitive. I will let you know how it goes.

I have this problem and we haven't found much in my case either. My ophtomologist said it's a neurological problem in my case.

If you EVER lose your ability to see or start hearing a whooshing sound in that ear see a doc PRONTO.

I have no idea if this is relevant.. but Dr. F told me I have weird eye pressures which trigger my migranes/headaches that also lead my left eye to be sort of "lazy"...

Hope they figure something out for you gals!

Britt does your eye doctor monitor that too? You might want to let him/her in on it.
