Hi Everyone,

Just a heads up as to what will be happening around here very soon. Our newest member, Ai has offered to help EDSkids with tech support and has offered to help us have a safer site....with that being said, we will be changing forums again. You're probably thinking, "but it will be a huge pain!" or, "again?!!"......but don't panic! Ai will create your account for you and send you a temporary password. (Unless you post below, Ai will create your new account on the new forum with the same username that you use here.)

When the new site is available you will be notified by Ai.........sorry for the inconvience but we feel that it is the best thing to do since EDSkids is meant for all ages of children.

In the meantime, please use this forum!

ust to expand on what has already been said. I am basically buying a domain name, hosting it on one of my servers and setting up a forum script there. I will be pre-registering each and every one of you and because this forum currently has so few posts I will be recreating everything that has been posted so far before the forum is opened. The additions and modifications that can be made to this forum software are virtually limitless and the admins will have access to many more features. I have bought the domain name and the new forum software and am currently waiting for everything to update so I can begin work installing the forum

Just to keep you guys updated, I have finished installing the forum (along with a couple of nice little additions) and I have transferred virtually all the posts over (with the help of a friend) and that has taken the best part of the night (I started at about 9pm and it is now just gone 5am) - still I am at work as well so I wasn't working solidly on the new site and I'm still getting paid ^__^ There are a few things missing - I haven't got access to the adult forum (I never got around to asking about it!) so those posts haven't been transferred and I am certain there are one or two posts missing in other threads but I could spend hours searching for them! If anyone notices a vital post missing on the new site let me know! The only other thing that didn't want to transfer were the smilies in a lot of the posts, I still need to add them all into the forum script (a nice quick job) but the text should all be there.

I'll be going home in about 45 minutes and still need to fit in another patrol with Steve (my rottweiler) so I can't do any more work yet. I'll be home in about an hour and a half and put the finishing touched on the site and email everyone their temporary passwords so you can all access and have a play as soon as you wish. (NOTE: One or two people my not be able to access the new domain for up to another 24 hours due to the domain not having resolved properly, this usually takes up to 48 hours but these days is normally much faster)

Although, I do have a question.

The forum is NOT up and running yet right? Cause when I went to the edskids.net link it said ai was working on installing the new forum.

I think I am just purely stupid. This brain fog really sucks. :cool:

^_^ that's right - I noticed you didn't kick me though... But I wasn't napping :o (for those of you who don't understand, the temporary place holder for the domain reads "Ai is most probably having a nap instead of working on installing the forum :P If you see him, kick him") I'm leaving that page there until I have put the finishing touches to everything. Don't worry in a couple of hours everything will be finished and ready to go But I did notice someone just added a load more posts for me to copy over >_> oh well it shouldn't take too long once I get home
