Buprenorphine

So the doctors put me on a new medication called Buprenorphine... also known as Suboxone. It... is... AMAZINGGGG. I'm VERY impressed. It brings my pain down from a 10 to a 4... without making me high! It turns out this drug is commonly used in EDS treatment, and also helps one come off of their other narcotics without the withdrawal symptoms. It's a sublingual, so it dissolves under the tongue and goes straight into the bloodstream... no more waiting 40 minutes for pain relief! The only complaint I have is that it tastes like I'm sucking on orange rinds... but if it keeps working like this, I can learn to love that taste.

I am going to ask Dr. Francamono about this medicine and if I can take it, as I am close to allegic to EVERYTHING. :( *sighs*

I have NEVER heard of it. I'm still on Opana and Percocet.

I have officially weaned MYSELF off of ALL my narcotics except the ones that I need to take when I absolutely need them! I am so proud of myself, even though I withdrawled really bad. I also crash & burned when I came off the Lyrica.. and I believe that was almost worst getting off of then the narcotics.

Suboxone is worst detox than narcotics.

Really? I am going to talk to Doctor Francomono about it and see what she says..but if it's that hard to get off of, I don't know if it'll be worth it!
